COACH RODOLFO HEADS BACK TO CHINA TO DEFEND HIS REBEL FC TITLE
REBEL FC will return to the Kerry Hotel in Shanghai on 29 April with two key titles on the line.
The main event of REBEL FC 7 “Fight For Honour” sees bantamweight champion Ayideng Jumayi (pictured) defend his title for the first time against knockout artist Shuhei Sakano (10-3).
The match-up has all the makings of a slugfest. Ayideng (18-4) comes to the bout riding a five-fight win streak. His last match against Aussie fighter Chris Morris resulted in winning the bantamweight title.
Opposite him will be the 22-year-old Sakano, a Japanese fighter who has built a reputation as a finisher, preferring to submit his rivals with the brabo choke (ninja choke) or knock them out cold with a spinning backhand blow. Currently in his senior year of studying International Relations and working as a part-time cashier in a supermarket, Sakano defeated Wang Daoyuan of China in REBEL FC 6 to earn his first title shot.
The co-main of REBEL FC 7 will see Kazumasa Majima challenge Rodolfo Marques Diniz for his featherweight title. Marques Diniz won his title at REBEL FC 5 after his opponent Nagakura Tatsunao was disqualified for an illegal soccer kick.
Rebel FC 7 card includes:
